Laryn began her practice as a Private Equity Mergers and Acquisitions attorney at Kirkland & Ellis. She joined the team that launched a joint venture between Washington Post, Kaplan Test Prep and The Tribune Company, where she spearheaded strategic-planning initiatives and identified and negotiated partnerships and acquisitions. Following that experience, she assumed the role of General Counsel for a private-equity funded cloud-based SFA company in Boston, where she navigated a diverse spectrum of corporate matters.
Her legal practice extends across various industries, encompassing all facets of M&A, venture capital and private equity finance. She is adept at structuring complex commercial arrangements, navigating partnership deals, and providing comprehensive corporate counsel. Drawing on her in-house experience, Laryn approaches negotiations and commercial endeavors with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset.
Laryn enjoys working with entrepreneurs and emerging and early-stage companies. Her corporate background and legal experience help her to guide clients through the intricacies of establishing and expanding their businesses.
Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New York, Laryn earned a B.A (magna cum laude) from the University of Vermont where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She subsequently graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D.), where she was a Hardy Cross Dillard Scholar. Before entering private practice, Laryn was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Ronald Lagueux, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
