Thomas M. Greene

Thomas M. Greene has practiced employee benefits and executive compensation law for 17 years, including prior practice as a partner at Mintz Levin and Holland & Knight. He has served as lead counsel for executive compensation and employee benefits in high value business transactions, including (i) Duff & Phelps, Inc. in its $665.5 million “go private” sale to a private equity consortium comprised of Carlyle Group, Stone Point Capital, Pictet & Cie and the Edmond de Rothschild Group, (ii) Caliper Life Sciences, Inc. in its $646 million acquisition by PerkinElmer, (iii) Nokia, Inc. in its acquisition of Oz Communications, Inc., and (iv) Qiagen NV in its $1.6 billion acquisition of Digene, Inc. Thomas also has extensive experience in the design, development and implementation of executive compensation arrangements and employee benefit plans, including stock incentive plans, bonus plans, deferred compensation programs, Supplemental Executive Retirement Plans (SERPs), employment agreements, equity-based compensation packages, severance arrangements, and tax-qualified retirement and welfare plans. Thomas has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, a J.D. (cum laude) from Suffolk University, and an LL.M. (with distinction) from Georgetown University.
